Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) parliamentary candidate for Vunjo, Enock Zadock Koola, has pledged to prioritize the improvement of key road networks in the constituency, saying better infrastructure is essential to unlocking local economic potential.

At a campaign rally held Saturday at Himo Police Grounds, Koola identified the Chekereni–Mabogini–Kahe, Pofu–Mandaka–Kilema and Uchira–Kisomachi roads as urgent projects.

He said poor conditions have long hindered transport, driving up costs for farmers and restricting access to markets, schools and healthcare facilities.

“If entrusted with this responsibility, I will work closely with the government to ensure these roads are built to modern standards. Better infrastructure will reduce costs, open opportunities and improve daily life for Vunjo residents,” he said.

Koola also promised to run an open and accessible office, noting that leadership is about service and accountability.

The rally was graced by CCM vice-presidential running mate, Ambassador Dr. Emmanuel John Nchimbi, who called on residents to vote overwhelmingly for President Samia Suluhu Hassan and all CCM candidates in the October 29 polls.

Dr. Nchimbi praised Vunjo party members for maintaining unity after the nomination process, describing it as a sign of political maturity.

He also recognized former Vunjo MP, Dr. Charles Kimei, for his continued support of the ruling party.
