Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism, Ambassador Dr. Pindi Chana, officially opened a special photo exhibition marking the 80th anniversary of the Chinese people’s victory in the Anti-Japanese Resistance War and their fight against global fascism.
The event, held on August 15, 2025, at the National Museum of Tanzania in Dar es Salaam, aims to strengthen cooperation between Tanzania and China, particularly in cultural and historical initiatives.
Speaking at the opening, Minister Chana noted the deep-rooted friendship between the two countries. “This exhibition reminds us of the long-standing ties between Tanzania and China, built on respect, solidarity, and shared aspirations.
Since Tanzania’s independence, our cooperation has expanded across infrastructure, trade, education, health, agriculture, and cultural exchange,” he said.
He described the exhibition as more than just a display of photographs. “It is a living bridge connecting the past and the present. It preserves memories, honors peace, and reinforces our commitment that the horrors of war must never return,” he added.
The Minister also expressed appreciation to the Government and people of China for their enduring contributions to global peace.
He thanked the exhibition organizers for presenting history with transparency and dignity.
The exhibition brings together historical images that celebrate courage, resilience, and the pursuit of freedom, while encouraging visitors to reflect on the importance of peace, cooperation, and understanding between nations.
