President Samia Suluhu Hassan has called on investors from across the world to explore Tanzania’s wide range of investment opportunities, highlighting the country’s strong economic potential, cultural heritage, and globally recognised tourism attractions.
President Samia made the remarks on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, while opening the Africa50 General Shareholders Meeting and the Africa Infrastructure Forum held at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC) in Dar es Salaam.
She said Tanzania remains one of Africa’s most attractive investment destinations due to its political stability, abundant natural resources, strategic location, and improving business environment.
The President emphasised that the government is committed to creating a more competitive investment climate through policy reforms and strategic measures aimed at encouraging both local and international investors.
She said increased investment in key sectors would support economic growth, expand business opportunities and create more employment opportunities for Tanzanians.
During the forum, the Head of Planning, Research and Innovation at the Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zone Authority (TISEZA), Mr Gaudence Mmassy, outlined investment opportunities available across various sectors, while highlighting services offered to investors.
Mr Mmassy said TISEZA continues to support investors through its One Stop Facilitation Centre, which provides coordinated services to simplify investment procedures.
He also highlighted opportunities available in Special Economic Zones (SEZs), as well as incentives designed to attract investors and strengthen Tanzania’s position as an investment hub in Africa.
The Africa50 General Shareholders Meeting and Africa Infrastructure Forum brought together more than 1,200 participants, including Heads of State and Government, investors, international financial institutions, development partners and business leaders.
The forum focused on practical solutions for increasing infrastructure investment, strengthening partnerships and advancing sustainable development across the African continent.
The gathering further positioned Tanzania as a key player in regional economic transformation efforts, with infrastructure development and investment promotion at the centre of its growth agenda.
