DStv customers in Tanzania are set to enjoy access to more entertainment at no extra cost under a new promotion launched by MultiChoice Tanzania.
The “Open View” Promotion, which runs from September 7 to October 19, 2026, allows eligible customers to access content from the next higher DStv package while paying the price of their current subscription.
The promotion is aimed at rewarding customer loyalty while making premium entertainment more accessible to households amid changing economic realities.
MultiChoice Tanzania Acting Chief Executive Officer Godfrey Bwana said the company remained focused on putting customers at the centre of its business.
“At MultiChoice Tanzania, our customers remain at the heart of everything we do. Through the Open View Promotion, we are giving customers even more access to premium entertainment, world-class sports, movies, series, documentaries, children’s programming, news and local content, while continuing to deliver outstanding value for money,” he said.
Under the promotion, eligible new and active residential DStv customers, as well as previously disconnected customers who reconnect, will automatically receive access to the next higher package after making payment for an eligible package during the promotional period.
Customers will retain access to the upgraded package until October 19, after which they will automatically revert to the package they originally subscribed to and paid for.
The offer is available to residential DStv customers in Tanzania, including new customers and those reconnecting after disconnection.
However, DStv Premium, DStv Stream and DStv Business customers, specialist accounts and customers subscribed to certain standalone add-on packages are excluded from the promotion.
DStv Poa customers are also eligible and will receive access to DStv Bomba during the promotional period.
MultiChoice Tanzania has encouraged customers to make payments through the MyDStv App, USSD channels, authorised agents, banks and other approved payment platforms to ensure uninterrupted access to the offer.
The company said the promotion forms part of its broader efforts to respond to customers’ changing needs by providing greater entertainment value across sports, movies, series, documentaries, children’s programming, news and local content.
