ACT-Wazalendo Chief Ado Shaibu starts one-day Pemba tour

By The Respondents Reporter

ACT-Wazalendo Secretary General Ado Shaibu has arrived in Pemba for a one-day tour, during which he is expected to meet party members and strengthen the party’s grassroots structures on the island.

Mr Shaibu started his visit by meeting delegates attending the General Meeting of the Kojani Constituency in North Pemba Region.

He is also scheduled to inaugurate new ACT-Wazalendo branches in Pandani Constituency, Wete District, and Mtambwe Constituency.

The visit is focused on strengthening the party’s local structures and increasing members’ participation in its activities, as the opposition party continues efforts to expand and consolidate its presence across Pemba.

Mr Shaibu’s engagements are expected to provide an opportunity for the party leadership to interact directly with its members at constituency level and assess the strength of its grassroots organisation.

ACT-Wazalendo has maintained a significant political presence in Zanzibar, particularly in Pemba, where the party has historically drawn substantial support.
