The Ministry of Transport has invited members of the public to visit its pavilion at the ongoing 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), popularly known as Sabasaba, to learn more about modern innovations transforming Tanzania’s transport sector, including technologies powered by gas and electricity.

The invitation was issued by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transport, Prof. Godius Walter Kahyarara, who said the exhibition provides a unique opportunity for Tanzanians to experience the ongoing transformation in the transport industry.

Prof. Kahyarara said the Ministry’s pavilion at the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF) is showcasing a wide range of innovations designed to improve efficiency, safety, and sustainability in transport services.

He explained that the displayed technologies include modern vehicles and equipment powered by gas and electricity, reflecting the government’s commitment to promoting clean and environmentally friendly transport solutions.

According to him, the shift towards alternative energy in the transport sector is part of broader government efforts to reduce operational costs, minimize environmental pollution, and align with global technological advancements.

“We invite all Tanzanians to visit the Ministry of Transport pavilion and experience first-hand the remarkable innovations and progress taking place in the transport sector,” he said, noting that visitors will have the opportunity to view various transport technologies and engage with experts.

The exhibition is being held at the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Grounds, where both public and private institutions are presenting products and services that contribute to economic growth and technological development.

The Ministry of Transport said its participation in the fair aims to raise public awareness on sector reforms and encourage the adoption of modern technologies that will support the development of a safe, efficient, and sustainable transport system for current and future generations.
