Jeshi Stars Volleyball Team has expressed confidence that it will defend its championship title in the upcoming season following its successful campaign in the Dar es Salaam Regional Volleyball League (DAREVA), crediting the achievement to strong preparation, discipline, and teamwork.
Acting Team Manager Charles Malima said the team’s victory in a highly competitive season was a product of consistent hard work, commitment from players, and effective technical coordination.
He noted that Jeshi Stars faced strong and determined opponents throughout the tournament, but the team’s unity, focus, and fighting spirit enabled them to prevail in crucial matches and ultimately lift the trophy.
“The competition was tough and very competitive, but our players showed great determination and played with heart. That is why we have managed to become champions. I sincerely congratulate them for their effort and commitment,” said Malima.
Malima also commended the Chief of Defence Forces for the continued support extended to Jeshi Stars, saying it has been key in strengthening the team’s performance and morale.
“We are sincerely grateful to the Chief of Defence Forces for the tremendous support given to Jeshi Stars. His contribution has played a major role in this success,” he added.
He emphasized that winning the DAREVA title is not the end of the journey, but rather the beginning of a new phase of preparation and improvement for the team.
According to him, Jeshi Stars has already shifted focus to future challenges and is working on strengthening its squad ahead of upcoming competitions.
The team is preparing for major tournaments, including the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) games and BAMATA competitions, with a clear goal of maintaining high performance levels and competing strongly.
Malima said Jeshi Stars remains committed to building on its current success and ensuring consistency in performance as it aims to defend its title in the next season and secure more trophies in the process.
