Azam FC head coach Florent Ibenge, together with members of the club’s technical bench, and the management of JKT Tanzania led by Chief Executive Officer Stan Chahe, have visited Young Africans SC midfielder Pacôme Zouzoua at hospital, where he is undergoing treatment following a serious leg fracture sustained during a Mainland Tanzania Premier League match played yesterday.
The injury occurred in a distressing moment that forced a temporary halt to the match and left players, officials, and fans concerned.
The Ivorian midfielder later underwent a successful surgery in the early hours of today, according to medical reports from the hospital.
Doctors have confirmed that Zouzoua will remain under close medical supervision for approximately six weeks as he continues recovery.
After this period, he is expected to begin rehabilitation and a structured recovery programme aimed at restoring full fitness before a gradual return to competitive action.
During the hospital visit, the delegation from Azam FC, led by coach Florent Ibenge, and officials from JKT Tanzania, conveyed their heartfelt support to the injured player.
They wished him a swift recovery and encouraged him to remain strong throughout his healing journey.
The officials highlighted the importance of unity, respect, and humanity in Tanzanian football, noting that moments of injury and recovery often bring the football community together beyond club rivalries.
The visit has been widely seen as a strong gesture of solidarity within the sport, with players, clubs, and stakeholders continuing to send messages of encouragement as Pacôme works toward recovery.
Pacôme Zouzoua of Young Africans SC remains in stable condition following the successful procedure, with medical personnel expressing optimism about his progress under the ongoing treatment plan.
