The head coach, Pedro Soares Gonçalves, has expressed confidence ahead of his team’s upcoming match, saying they have had enough time to prepare and will approach the fixture with a different tactical plan from their previous game.
He said the encounter requires a fresh approach as it is part of a different competition and against strong opposition.
“We have had three days to prepare and we are looking at this match differently. We will have a different plan from the previous game because this is a different competition,” he said.
The coach added that the team is in the final stages of preparation and is focused on securing maximum points, while also highlighting the importance of fan support.
“This evening we are finishing our preparations for tomorrow’s game and we believe we will have a good match. I know we will be together with our fans who will give us motivation to perform well. Everyone is confident and we are ready to give everything to increase the gap between us and the second-placed team,” he added.
However, Gonçalves cautioned his players to remain disciplined and highly focused, especially against a strong opponent, noting mistakes made in the previous match.
“We are going to play against one of the big teams in the country, so we must be more focused. In the previous game we were punished for losing concentration in the final minutes. Tomorrow we must improve our focus. I am confident we will be better and get all three points in this important match,” he said.
Mohamed Hussein also shared the team’s optimism, saying the players are well prepared and fully aware of the importance of the match.
“We have prepared well and we will complete our final training session this evening. We are confident we will perform well tomorrow because everyone understands the importance of the three points,” he said.
The team now heads into the fixture with high confidence, aiming to maintain momentum and strengthen their position in the standings.
