The Central Committee of ACT-Wazalendo is scheduled to hold an emergency meeting on Sunday, May 3, 2026, to discuss the prevailing political situation in the country.
In a statement released to members and the public, the party said the meeting will bring together top leaders to assess recent political developments affecting both Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.
The meeting will be chaired by the party’s National Chairman, Othman Masoud Othman, and will take place at the Hakainde Hichilema Hall located at the party’s headquarters in Dar es Salaam.
According to the statement, the Central Committee will receive detailed briefings on the current political environment and is expected to deliberate on key national and regional issues before issuing official resolutions.
The party further noted that the emergency sitting is part of its ongoing responsibility to closely monitor political developments and provide direction on matters of national importance.
Decisions from the meeting are expected to outline the party’s stance and proposed actions in response to the evolving political landscape in the country.
