Tanzanians have been encouraged to continue praying for President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, so that she may be granted peace, wisdom, and strength to continue leading the country with unity, love, and stability.
The call was made on April 19, 2026, by the Managing Director of MASHILI COMPANY LIMITED, who also oversees gold processing projects under Matinje Mining, Msilale Mining, and Igurubi Mining, Mr. Peter Andrea Mashili.
He made the remarks while attending the Inland Festival organized by the Africa Inland Church Tanzania (AIC) in Nzega District, Tabora Region.
Mr. Mashili said President Samia has been playing a key role in opening up the country and advancing development across various sectors, including the economy and investment opportunities.
He noted that such progress requires continued prayers and unity among citizens to ensure the President is guided by wisdom and national cohesion in her leadership.
He emphasized that prayer remains an important pillar in strengthening leadership, peace, and national stability. According to him, every citizen has a responsibility to pray for their leaders so that they can serve the nation with integrity, fairness, and commitment.
“Prayer is a powerful tool. I continue to emphasize that we should pray for our leaders because it strengthens unity and helps maintain peace in our nation,” he said.
Mr. Mashili also called on religious leaders and residents of Nzega District to pray for the Member of Parliament for Nzega Urban, Hussein Bashe, so that he may effectively discharge his parliamentary duties with honesty, professionalism, and dedication in serving the people of Tanzania.
He further stressed that praying for all leaders in the country contributes to promoting peace, strengthening unity, and reducing divisions in society, which ultimately supports sustainable development.
During the event, Mr. Mashili also contributed TZS 3.2 million to support the upgrading of Inland TV studio facilities and the purchase of modern broadcasting equipment for the church’s television and radio services.
The contribution is expected to enhance the church’s media outreach, enabling the dissemination of spiritual teachings, education, and moral values to a wider audience.
The Inland Festival was highlighted as an important platform that brings together religious leaders, the private sector, and the community to strengthen unity, promote values, and support social and economic development in Nzega District and beyond.
