The Arusha Regional Police have appealed to the public to provide information that could help track down the killers of Abdillah Musa Mollel, a mineral trader widely known as ‘Banjo.’
Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police (SACP) Justine Masejo said the call comes after Mollel’s body was discovered in Kondoa District, Dodoma Region, following his reported disappearance.
“The Arusha Police received a missing person report on February 13, 2026, concerning Abdillah Musa Mollel, also known as Banjo. Investigations began immediately, and by February 19, information confirmed he had been found deceased in Kondoa,” SACP Masejo told journalists.
Mollel, who lived in Sanawari, Arusha, was last seen in public exercising at a building in central Arusha. His body has since been returned home to Sanawari, where funeral arrangements are ongoing.
The police are urging anyone with information that could aid the investigation to come forward, stressing that all tips will be treated with confidentiality and used to bring the perpetrators to justice.
