The The Mining Commission has released the latest mineral indicative prices for gold and silver, reflecting the current trends in the world and local mineral markets.

According to the commission, the world market price for gold stands at $5,019.80 per troy ounce, equivalent to TZS 418,508.99 per gram

In the local mineral market, gold is valued at TZS 376,658.09 per gram, while the buying centre price is slightly lower at TZS 368,287.91 per gram.

These prices provide miners and traders with updated guidance on the value of gold in Tanzania, helping ensure transparency in mineral transactions.

Silver prices also saw updates, with the world market price recorded at $77.75 per troy ounce, translating to TZS 6,482.15 per gram

The mineral market price in Tanzania is TZS 5,833.93 per gram, and the buying centre price is set at TZS 5,704.29 per gram.

The commission’s indicative prices serve as a benchmark for both buyers and sellers, promoting fairness in the trading of precious metals.
