Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) parliamentary candidate for Morogoro Urban, Abdulaziz Abood, has promised to deliver greater social and economic development over the next five years if residents return him to Parliament.
Speaking at the launch of his campaign rally, Abood urged voters to keep faith in him so he can complete ongoing projects from his previous term.
He pledged to strengthen key sectors affecting residents’ daily lives and described the coming five years as “a period of prosperity” for Morogoro.
The candidate also rallied support for CCM’s presidential flag bearer, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, commending her for channeling substantial development funds to Morogoro.
He encouraged voters to support her candidacy alongside CCM’s ward councillorship aspirants.
The event was graced by Morogoro CCM Regional Chairman, Engineer Joseph Masunga, who called on party members to conduct peaceful campaigns.
“There is no need for political quarrels,” Masunga said. “Let us remain united and win through ideas and solidarity.”
He stressed that the achievements of the past five years are clear proof that the CCM government delivers on its promises.
Residents attending the rally appealed to Abood to prioritize addressing water shortages and upgrading road infrastructure should he secure another term.
