Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa has reaffirmed Tanzania’s commitment to deepening diplomatic and trade relations with Grenada during a meeting with his counterpart, Prime Minister Dickon Thomas Mitchell, in St. George’s, Grenada.
The two leaders discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries through the Fourth Africa-Caribbean Trade and Investment Forum (ACTIF 2025).
Prime Minister Majaliwa emphasized that Tanzania will continue to use the forum as a strategic platform to boost collaboration in priority sectors including agriculture, fisheries, health, and education, with the aim of benefiting citizens on both sides.
During the discussions, Prime Minister Majaliwa highlighted Tanzania’s readiness to partner with Grenada in exchanging knowledge and technology, particularly in production and service industries.
This cooperation is expected to accelerate industrial growth and increase employment opportunities, especially for the youth.
Prime Minister Mitchell reiterated Grenada’s commitment to ACTIF’s goal of building strong economic foundations by promoting bilateral trade between Caribbean and African nations, including Tanzania and Grenada.
Both leaders agreed to intensify government-to-government dialogue and collaboration to effectively implement shared development agendas.
They also underscored the vital role of unity between African and Caribbean peoples as a key driver of economic and social prosperity.
Prime Minister Majaliwa was accompanied by the Minister of State in the President’s Office for Labour, Economy and Investment, Shariff Ali Sharriff, and Tanzania’s Acting Ambassador to Cuba, the Caribbean, Central America, Venezuela, and Guyana, Wilbroad Kayombo.
