GSM Group of Companies has pledged to continue working closely with the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) by paying taxes voluntarily and on time.
GSM President Ghalib Said Mohammed made the commitment on July 30, 2025, during a meeting with TRA officials led by the Deputy Commissioner for Large Taxpayers, Gabriel Kimweri.
The TRA team visited GSM’s offices to discuss tax-related challenges and enhance the working relationship.
Mr. Ghalib assured the delegation of his company’s continued support to TRA, saying paying taxes is a responsibility that contributes directly to national development.
For his part, Mr. Kimweri said the visit was part of TRA’s ongoing efforts to engage with taxpayers. The goal, he said, is to better understand their challenges and resolve them quickly to promote a friendly tax-paying culture.
He invited Mr. Ghalib to make use of TRA’s special office for High Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI), which provides customized services for prominent taxpayers of which Mr. Ghalib qualifies for the services offered under this category.
The visit reflects TRA’s approach to building stronger partnerships with large taxpayers and improving voluntary compliance through dialogue and client-focused services.
