Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Secretary General, Ambassador Dr. Emmanuel John Nchimbi, arrived in Arusha on Sunday ahead of the official opening of the Arusha Women’s Forum 2025, where he is expected to serve as the guest of honour.
Dr. Nchimbi was received at Kisongo Airport by senior regional and party officials, including CCM Arusha Regional Secretary Dadi Musa Matoroka and Arusha Regional Commissioner Paul Makonda.
Also present were CCM Arusha Urban District Chairperson Dr. Wilfred Soileli and District Secretary Timothy Sanga.
The Secretary General’s visit underscores the ruling party’s ongoing commitment to promoting inclusive leadership and empowering women at all levels of society.
The Arusha Women’s Forum 2025, scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 24, is expected to convene hundreds of participants from various sectors.
The forum will focus on strengthening women’s roles in leadership, economic development, and national transformation.
Organisers say the forum is part of broader efforts to align with the government’s priorities under President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s administration, which has championed gender equality and women's empowerment in decision-making spaces.
Dr. Nchimbi is also expected to hold consultations with local leaders and engage with grassroots party members during his stay in the region.
