Vita Foam has donated 100 bed sheets to two public health facilities in Kibaha Municipality, in a move aimed at improving conditions for patients, particularly mothers and children.
The donation was handed over to Kibaha District Commissioner Nickson Simon for use at Kibaha Municipal Hospital in Lulanzi and Mkoani Health Centre.
Mr Simon thanked the company for its continued support of health services and other community initiatives in Kibaha.
“Vita Foam is one of our key partners. The company has made a significant contribution to the community, and this is one of the important initiatives it has undertaken in Kibaha Municipality,” he said.
He said the company's support in various community activities had helped complement government efforts to improve public services.
“On behalf of the residents, we thank the company's leadership for this contribution, which will help improve the efficiency of our health facilities,” Mr Simon said.
Speaking on behalf of the Kibaha Municipal Medical Officer, Dr Abdulkadir Sultan, thanked Vita Foam for responding to the needs of public health facilities.
He said the 100 bed sheets would be particularly useful for expectant mothers and children as the rainy season approaches.
“The bed sheets will help us meet the needs of mothers and children, especially during the rainy season when drying bedding can become difficult due to prolonged periods without adequate sunshine,” Dr Sultan said.
Vita Foam representative Paulo Amanzi said the company had been working with the government through various initiatives, including donating mattresses and medical equipment.
“This time, we decided to provide 100 bed sheets to support patients receiving treatment at government health facilities,” Mr Amanzi said.
The donation comes as public health facilities continue to rely on partnerships with private companies and other stakeholders to supplement government efforts to improve patient care and hospital environments.
