Vice President Deogratius Ndejembi has challenged leaders and officials in the Ministry of Energy and institutions under it to uphold professionalism, integrity and patriotism in delivering services to Tanzanians.
Mr Ndejembi made the call on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, during a farewell ceremony organised by the ministry’s management and institutions under its supervision at Kambarage Hall, Treasury Square, Dodoma.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister for Energy Salome Makamba, Permanent Secretary responsible for Electricity and Renewable Energy Felchesmi Mramba, ministry officials and directors of institutions under the ministry.
Mr Ndejembi also urged the officials to continue praying for President Samia Suluhu Hassan and her aides as they execute their responsibilities of serving Tanzanians.
He said public officials should remain committed to their duties and discharge them with diligence, competence and honesty to meet citizens’ expectations of the government.
The Vice President emphasised the importance of patriotism and a strong sense of responsibility among government officials, particularly in sectors that are central to the country’s economic and social development.
He urged the ministry’s leadership and staff to maintain the momentum in implementing government priorities while ensuring that public resources and responsibilities are handled with integrity.
The Energy Ministry and its institutions play a key role in supporting Tanzania’s development agenda through electricity generation and distribution, renewable energy development and expansion of access to reliable energy.
Mr Ndejembi said continued dedication, professionalism and commitment among public servants would be essential to translating government priorities into tangible benefits for citizens.
