Mineral indicative prices for September 18, 2026


The Mining Commission has set the buying centre price for gold at TZS329,180.61 per gram, according to its latest mineral indicative prices issued on September 18, 2026.

The commission also listed the mineral market price for gold at TZS336,661.99 per gram, while the world market price was quoted at TZS374,068.88 per gram, equivalent to $4,383.10 per troy ounce.

The rates provide indicative values for gold transactions in Tanzania and show a gap between the international market price and the prices listed for the domestic mineral market and buying centres.

For silver, the Mining Commission put the world market price at $66.06 per troy ounce, equivalent to TZS5,637.79 per gram.

The mineral market price for silver was listed at TZS5,074.01 per gram, while the buying centre price stood at TZS4,961.25 per gram.

The commission also published copper prices, with the international market price standing at $6.57 per pound, equivalent to TZS38.45 per gram.

The indicative mineral market price for copper was TZS34.60 per gram, while the buying centre price was TZS33.83 per gram.

The Mining Commission regularly publishes indicative mineral prices to guide transactions and provide reference values for minerals traded in the country.

The latest figures cover gold, silver and copper and are dated September 18, 2026.
