Mineral indicative prices for September 15, 2026

Gold was trading at TZS369,439.45 per gram on the world market on September 15, 2026, according to the latest indicative mineral prices, maintaining its position as the most valuable of the three minerals listed.

The international gold price stood at $4,329.10 per troy ounce, equivalent to TZS369,439.45 per gram, while the mineral market price was TZS332,495.51 per gram.

At buying centres, the indicative price was TZS325,106.72 per gram, giving miners and other sellers a reference price for transactions.

Silver was quoted at $63.65 per troy ounce, equivalent to TZS5,431.80 per gram on the world market. The mineral market price was TZS4,888.62 per gram, while the buying-centre price stood at TZS4,779.99 per gram.

Copper, meanwhile, was trading at $6.46 per pound, equivalent to TZS37.80 per gram on the world market. Its mineral market price was TZS34.02 per gram, while buying centres were offering TZS33.27 per gram.

The indicative prices provide a reference for mineral producers and traders as they assess the value of minerals against prevailing international market conditions.

For gold producers, the latest figures are particularly significant given the metal's much higher value compared with silver and copper.

The difference between world market prices, mineral market prices and buying-centre prices also reflects the pricing structure used in domestic mineral trading.

The figures are expected to guide transactions and provide miners with a benchmark when selling their production through authorised mineral trading channels.
