Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL) is set to resume its scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Moscow on Monday, September 7, 2026, after completing a routine assessment of operating conditions along the route.
The national carrier announced the development in a public notice issued on September 4, saying the decision followed consultations with relevant authorities and an assessment of the operating environment.
ATCL said the assessment is part of its ongoing safety and operational risk management procedures, which are conducted across its network.
“The resumption follows the completion of a routine risk assessment of the operating environment along the route,” the airline said.
The carrier added that it continuously reviews conditions across its network and resumes services when assessments indicate that operations can proceed.Bookings have now reopened for flights TC422 and TC423, according to ATCL.
Passengers who deferred their journeys during the suspension will be able to rebook without additional charges, the airline said. Affected travellers can make arrangements through the ATCL contact centre or their respective travel agents.
Customers who had opted for refunds during the suspension period may also make new bookings, although such reservations will be subject to prevailing fares.
ATCL said it would continue monitoring conditions along the Dar es Salaam-Moscow route and across its wider network, promising to take appropriate measures should circumstances change.
The resumption restores a direct air link between Tanzania and Russia, providing travellers with renewed access to the route while supporting passenger movement between the two markets.
The airline thanked customers for their patience and continued confidence during the suspension and said it looked forward to welcoming passengers back on board.
