Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – Tanzania's flagship international tourism exhibition (SiTE) will return this year with a renewed focus on attracting major global buyers and investors.

Officials said the exhibition's online registration system has been upgraded to allow participants to register, submit applications and make payments electronically through a streamlined digital platform.

The organisers, who are Tanzania Tourism Board (TTB) said this year's edition aims to bring together high-quality international buyers, including representatives from large companies across Europe, the United States and Asia.

"We are bringing serious buyers with established companies, not just random participants," an official involved in the preparations said during an interview promoting the event.

According to TTB, profiles of participating international companies will be made available to registered exhibitors through the online platform, enabling businesses to identify potential partners and prepare for business-to-business engagements in advance.

At least 50 international buyers had already confirmed participation by June, with delegations expected from countries including Russia, India, China and South Korea.

The event is expected to serve as a key platform for promoting Tanzania's tourism industry and strengthening international business partnerships, particularly as the country intensifies preparations to showcase its tourism offerings ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Organisers have urged local businesses and tourism operators to register early, noting that applications were being received at a rapid pace.

Participants can register through the official website of the Tanzania Tourist Board by accessing the exhibition portal and completing the online application process.

The organisers expressed confidence that the upcoming edition would be one of the largest and most impactful tourism exhibitions ever staged in Tanzania, bringing together local stakeholders and international investors in a bid to further position the country as a leading tourism destination in Africa.
