DAR ES SALAAM, July 5 – Tanzanian hospitality company Wellworth Collection is using the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair to promote domestic tourism and prepare for increased visitor demand ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Speaking at the Tanzania Tourist Board's pavilion during the annual trade fair, Sales Executive Sharmila Omari said the company was showcasing its portfolio of luxury lodges, resorts and tented camps while encouraging Tanzanians to explore destinations across the country.

Operating under the theme "African Hospitality Redefined," Wellworth Collection manages five five-star lodges, four luxury tented camps and two resorts, including one in Zanzibar, while another is nearing completion in Dar es Salaam.

The company is also promoting its Mikumi property, citing improved accessibility following the expansion of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR), which has made travel to the national park more convenient for domestic visitors.

As part of its trade fair promotions, Wellworth Collection is offering discounted accommodation packages starting from 762,000 Tanzanian shillings for two people on a full-board basis.

Omari said the group also owns Kunduchi Wet 'N' Wild water park and offers integrated "bush-to-beach" holiday packages that combine wildlife safaris with coastal destinations.

She said the company was expanding its hospitality portfolio in preparation for AFCON 2027, with additional lodges and camps currently under development in different parts of Tanzania.

"We are preparing for AFCON and continuing to expand our footprint across the country," Omari said. "We encourage visitors to book early to secure accommodation and benefit from promotional discounts."

The company also called on Tanzanians to embrace domestic tourism by visiting the country's national parks, beaches and other attractions, saying the trade fair provides an opportunity to showcase the diversity of Tanzania's tourism offerings ahead of the continental football tournament.
