President Samia Suluhu Hassan on Tuesday received a special message and greetings from Chinese President Xi Jinping, reaffirming the enduring strategic partnership between Tanzania and China.
The message was delivered by China's Ambassador to Tanzania, Chen Mingjian, during a meeting with President Samia at the State House in Tunguu, Zanzibar.
Following the presentation of the message, President Samia and Ambassador Chen held talks on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation under the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in key development sectors, including areas that support economic growth and sustainable development, as Tanzania and China seek to deepen ties for the mutual benefit of their people.
The meeting comes as the two countries continue to strengthen cooperation in trade, industrialisation, infrastructure development and technology, underscoring the long-standing diplomatic and economic relations between Dar es Salaam and Beijing.
