Puma Energy Tanzania has expanded its national retail network after opening its 100th service station in Usule, Tabora Region, a move expected to improve fuel accessibility, support local businesses and create new economic opportunities.
The milestone station, inaugurated on July 22, 2026, marks Puma Energy Tanzania’s first retail presence in the Tabora Region and reflects the company’s continued investment in strengthening energy infrastructure across the country.
The opening ceremony was officiated by Tabora District Commissioner Upendo Wella and attended by local government leaders, community representatives, customers and Puma Energy Tanzania management, including Managing Director Ms. Fatma Abdallah.
The new facility is strategically located in Tabora, a growing centre for agriculture, trade and transport activities. It is expected to provide reliable fuel services to motorists, transport operators and businesses while contributing to employment opportunities within the community.
Speaking at the launch, Ms. Abdallah said reaching the 100th service station represents a significant step in the company’s partnership with Tanzania and its commitment to supporting economic activities through reliable energy solutions.
“Reaching our 100th service station is about more than expanding our network. It reflects our partnership with Tanzania, the trust of our customers and our belief that access to reliable fuel enables opportunity,” she said.
She added that Puma Energy will continue investing in infrastructure, safety standards and services that support businesses, communities and the country’s long-term economic growth.
As part of activities marking the milestone, Puma Energy Tanzania implemented several community initiatives targeting education, child welfare and environmental conservation in Tabora.
The company donated 100 desks to Usule Primary School in Mbugani Ward to help address classroom furniture shortages and improve the learning environment for pupils.
It also donated 100 mattresses to Istiqaama Orphanage Centre to support better living conditions for vulnerable children.
In addition, Puma Energy partnered with students, teachers and residents to plant 100 trees as part of efforts to promote environmental conservation and sustainability in the region.
Ms. Abdallah said the initiatives demonstrate the company’s commitment to ensuring that business growth goes together with positive contributions to communities.
“By improving learning conditions, supporting vulnerable children and encouraging environmental responsibility, we aim to make a practical contribution alongside our investment in energy infrastructure,” she said.
Wella welcomed Puma Energy’s investment in Tabora, saying the expansion demonstrates growing confidence among investors in Tanzania’s economic potential.
She said investments such as the new service station contribute to improved infrastructure, job creation and increased business activity in the region.
