The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) – Policy, Parliament, Coordination and Persons with Disabilities has joined other government institutions in the opening of the 2026 Public Service Week Exhibition, held on June 17, 2026, at Chinangali Park grounds in Dodoma City.
The opening ceremony was attended by senior government officials and public servants, including the Director of Human Resources Management and Administration at PMO, Ms. Stella Mwaiswaga, alongside other staff from the office who took part in the official launch of the exhibition.
Public Service Week is an annual event observed under the African Union (AU) framework, where member states come together to showcase public service reforms, innovations, and achievements under a common theme.
The exhibition is held from June 16 to June 23 each year and serves as a platform for citizens to better understand government services and how they are delivered.
This year’s commemoration is held under the theme: “Accelerating Inclusive Accountability for Sustainable Service Delivery.”
Through its participation, PMO is engaging citizens by providing public education on key government functions and services.
These include the activities of the Tanzania Government Printing Agency, disaster management and preparedness, services for persons with disabilities, monitoring and evaluation systems, as well as citizen economic empowerment programmes.
Officials at the exhibition emphasized that such platforms strengthen transparency, improve accountability, and bring government services closer to citizens.
Members of the public visiting the PMO pavilion are receiving explanations, guidance, and practical information on how to access various government services and programmes.
The exhibition continues to attract participation from government institutions, development partners, civil society organisations, and the general public, all working together to promote improved and more inclusive public service delivery across the country.
