The Chief Executive Officer of Muhimbili National Hospital, Dr. Delilah Kimambo, has officially opened the 31st Workers’ Council Meeting, which brings together representatives from various departments and units of the hospital to discuss institutional development and staff welfare.
During the opening session, Dr. Kimambo called on council members to actively use the platform to share ideas and proposals that can help improve the hospital’s performance and enhance the quality of healthcare services delivered to citizens.
She stressed that the success of Muhimbili depends on unity, accountability, and strong cooperation among staff in carrying out their duties with professionalism and commitment.
She further noted that the Workers’ Council remains an important forum for strengthening communication between management and employees, allowing workplace challenges to be addressed in a timely manner while also promoting efficiency and better service delivery.
The council meeting, which is held annually, provides an opportunity to review the implementation of hospital activities, assess institutional plans and budgets, and discuss strategies aimed at improving coordination and overall performance.
It also supports closer collaboration between management and staff to increase productivity and ensure quality healthcare services for the public.
