The College of Business Education (CBE) has opened admissions for the 2026/27 academic year, inviting prospective students to enrol in certificate, diploma, bachelor’s and master’s programmes designed to meet the demands of a changing economy and labour market.
The institution, which operates under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, is showcasing its academic programmes and providing on-the-spot admission services during the ongoing Public Service Week exhibitions at Chinangali Park in Dodoma.
Senior Admissions Officer Lilian S. Mashallo said students can also access admission services at CBE campuses in Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, Mbeya and Mwanza.
She said the college has introduced a number of strategic programmes that combine classroom learning with practical industry experience to equip graduates with skills that match the needs of employers.
Among the new initiatives is an apprenticeship model under which students split their training between academic studies and workplace experience.
Mashallo said CBE has introduced a Bachelor Degree in Digital and Technology Solutions in partnership with eGa, allowing students to gain practical exposure alongside theoretical knowledge. The college has also partnered with Finca Bank to offer apprenticeship training in Banking and Credit Management.
“The aim is to produce graduates who are not only academically competent but also have practical experience that enables them to transition easily into the world of work,” she said.
The institution has also introduced new master’s programmes, including Master of Science in Accounting and Finance and Master’s programmes focusing on emerging fields including Artificial Intelligence.
CBE has also introduced specialised education programmes in business disciplines, including Bachelor of Business Studies with Education, Bachelor of Accounting and Economics with Education, and Bachelor of Commerce and Accounting with Education.
Assistant Lecturer Richard Alphonce said the programmes respond to growing demand for qualified business teachers following education curriculum reforms that have placed greater emphasis on entrepreneurship and business knowledge at secondary school level.
He said CBE, as a specialised institution in business education, seeks to prepare teachers who will equip future generations with entrepreneurial skills, innovation capacity and knowledge required to create and manage businesses.
“We are preparing professionals who will contribute to building a generation capable of creating employment opportunities and driving Tanzania’s economic growth,” he said.
CBE is participating in the Public Service Week exhibitions to provide information about its programmes, admission requirements and career opportunities available to Tanzanian students.
