Africa Agri Expo returns to Tanzania for landmark 10th edition

Africa’s flagship agricultural trade event, the 10th Africa Agri Expo, will return to Tanzania on September 2–3, 2026, bringing together farmers, agribusiness companies, investors, policymakers and technology innovators from across the world to explore opportunities in one of the fastest-growing agricultural markets globally.

The landmark 10th Jubilee edition will be held in Dar es Salaam alongside the 3rd Future Food Livestock & Poultry Expo, creating a platform that covers the entire agricultural and food value chain, including crop production, livestock, food processing, agricultural technology and investment.

Organisers say the event comes at a time when Africa is increasingly attracting global attention due to its vast agricultural potential, expanding consumer market and growing demand for modern food systems.

Speaking ahead of the exhibition, TAB Group Chief Executive Officer Tahir Abdul Bari said businesses that establish partnerships in Africa today are positioning themselves for long-term growth as the continent’s agricultural sector continues to expand.

“Africa is not the market of the future, it is the market of today. The businesses that build relationships here now will lead the next decade of global agri-food trade,” he said.

Tanzania has emerged as a strategic destination for agricultural investment due to its fertile land, coastal access and improving logistics networks, with Dar es Salaam serving as a gateway to East and Central African markets.

The two-day exhibition will feature product demonstrations, technology launches and business networking sessions covering areas such as smart farming, irrigation systems, agricultural inputs, machinery, post-harvest solutions and digital agriculture.

The Future Food Livestock & Poultry Expo will provide additional focus on animal nutrition, veterinary technologies, breeding systems, cold-chain infrastructure and food processing equipment.

Industry leaders, government representatives and experts are also expected to participate in conference sessions discussing key issues including climate-smart agriculture, food security, agricultural financing and the role of young people in transforming Africa’s food systems.

Organisers said the event will offer opportunities for exhibitors, sponsors and speakers to showcase innovations, establish commercial partnerships and engage with decision-makers from across the agriculture and food industries.

The 2026 edition marks a decade of Africa Agri Expo’s efforts to connect businesses, promote agricultural innovation and strengthen trade links across the continent, with organisers expecting a broader international audience and expanded exhibition space.
