Simba SC and Mashujaa FC are both eyeing maximum points as they prepare to face off in an exciting NBC Premier League fixture scheduled for May 14 at Lake Tanganyika Stadium in Kigoma Region.

The match is expected to attract strong attention, with both teams entering the contest in different but equally competitive form.

Simba come into the fixture full of confidence after a dominant 4-0 victory over Tanzania Prisons SC in their previous league outing, a result that highlighted their attacking strength and overall squad depth.

Mashujaa, meanwhile, will be looking to bounce back positively after a goalless draw against Namungo FC

The Kigoma-based side has been sharpening both fitness and tactics as they aim to make full use of home advantage in a match that promises intensity and competition.

Speaking ahead of the fixture, Simba SC’s Manager of Communications, Ahmed Ally, said the team is travelling to Kigoma with a clear mission of securing all three points.

He emphasized that Simba fully respect Mashujaa’s quality and tactical discipline under coach Jamhuri Julio, warning that the match will not be an easy task.

“We are going to Kigoma to collect three points. This is not a game we are taking lightly. We respect Mashujaa and their technical bench, but our focus is on winning,” said Ahmed Ally.

He also called on Simba supporters in Kigoma and nearby regions to turn out in large numbers to support the team, noting that fan presence plays a key role in motivating players, especially in away fixtures.

On the Mashujaa side, club spokesperson Steven Ndorobo said the squad is in good condition and fully prepared for the challenge.

He noted that all players are fit and the team morale is high following structured recovery and training sessions after their last match.

Ndorobo explained that the team began preparations with recovery-based exercises, including light swimming sessions, before transitioning back to full training on the pitch.

He added that the technical bench has focused on both defensive organization and attacking transitions to prepare for Simba’s strong attacking threat.

“We are ready for the match. The preparations have gone well, and the players are in good shape. We know Simba are strong, but we are determined to compete and fight for points at home,” said Ndorobo.

He further emphasized that playing at home in Kigoma will give Mashujaa extra motivation, with expectations of strong support from local fans at Lake Tanganyika Stadium.

According to him, home advantage will be an important factor in pushing the team to deliver a strong performance.

The encounter is expected to be highly competitive given the contrasting strengths of the two sides. Simba bring experience, depth, and attacking power, while Mashujaa will rely on discipline, organization, and home support to challenge their opponents.

As the NBC Premier League season progresses, every point is becoming increasingly important in shaping the title race and overall standings.

Simba will be aiming to maintain momentum in their pursuit of top positions, while Mashujaa will see the fixture as an opportunity to secure a valuable result against one of the league’s strongest teams.

With anticipation building in Kigoma, fans from both sides are expected to fill Lake Tanganyika Stadium for what promises to be a tightly contested and entertaining encounter.
