The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) in Kilimanjaro Region has brightened the day for patients at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre (KCMC) by providing comfort and essential supplies, reaffirming its commitment to giving back to the community.

During a visit to the children’s ward in the hospital’s cancer unit, TRA Kilimanjaro Regional Manager, Mr. James Jilala, accompanied by regional management officials, said the authority will continue supporting vulnerable groups, particularly children undergoing cancer treatment, to bring hope and relief to families facing difficult times.

“We are committed to working closely with the community to support those in need. Children battling cancer are among the most vulnerable, and we hope this small gesture brings them comfort,” Mr. Jilala said.

KCMC Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Gileard Masenga, expressed his gratitude to TRA for its contribution.

“This support is invaluable. It not only brings comfort to the children but also helps meet their basic needs during treatment,” he said.

TRA’s initiative is part of broader efforts by government institutions to engage with communities and support groups with special needs, ensuring that no one is left behind in accessing care and essential services.
