The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Administration, Constitution, and Legal Affairs today, March 9, 2026, reviewed the implementation of environmental projects funded in the 2025/26 financial year at the Parliament offices in Dodoma.

Committee Chairperson, Dr. Damas Ndumbaro, who is also the MP for Songea Urban Constituency, noted that the projects provide a framework for other ministries and government institutions in planning and execution.

Deputy Minister in the Vice President’s Office (Union and Environment), Dr. Festo Dugange, presented the report, highlighting that the office has continued to strengthen its infrastructure through construction and renovation of buildings.

He said the projects aim to improve public service efficiency and support the Vice President in carrying out official duties.

Dr. Dugange added that the government will continue improving working conditions for staff to ensure the office functions effectively.

The Secretary-General of the Vice President’s Office, Dr. Richard Muyungi, provided an update on the construction of the new Vice President’s Office building at Mtumba Government City, Dodoma, noting that the project has reached 94.5% completion.

He stated that the remaining work involves interior and exterior finishing, installation of permanent electricity, ICT systems, and clean water facilities to make the building fully operational.
