The Secretary-General of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), Dr. Asha-Rose Migiro, officially launched a four-day Leadership and Good Governance training for senior party leaders and executives today, Monday, March 9, 2026, at Mount Royal Hall in Iringa.
The training, organized by Jitegemee Holdings Company Limited (JHCL) in collaboration with the Institute of Directors Tanzania (IoDT), brings together board members, senior management of Jitegemee Holdings, and top CCM officials.
The initiative aims to strengthen leadership capacity and improve governance practices across key institutions.
Speaking at the opening, Dr. Migiro emphasized that effective leadership and good governance are critical for institutional stability and national development.
She noted that the programme supports the implementation of CCM’s 2025 General Election manifesto and aligns with Tanzania’s long-term development vision, Dira ya Taifa 2050.
“This training is an opportunity for leaders to enhance their skills and knowledge. Participants are encouraged to apply what they learn to improve the performance and management of the institutions they serve,” Dr. Migiro said.
The programme will cover key topics including strategic leadership, accountability, decision-making, and institutional management.
Organizers say it is designed to equip participants with practical tools to strengthen governance, promote transparency, and support sustainable development at both organizational and national levels.
Senior officials attending the training expressed optimism that the sessions will enhance leadership standards and reinforce good governance practices within CCM and affiliated institutions.
By bringing together political and institutional leaders, the training also provides a platform for networking, sharing experiences, and promoting collaborative approaches to leadership challenges in Tanzania.
