The Tanzania Electric Supply Company has announced that a technical problem has temporarily disrupted its central customer service Call Center, affecting the main contact numbers 180 and 0748 550 000.
In a public notice issued on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, the power utility said its engineers are working to fix the technical fault and restore the service as soon as possible.
The company also apologized to customers across the country for any inconvenience caused by the disruption.
TANESCO said that while the central Call Center remains unavailable, customers can still access services through regional customer care numbers and other official communication platforms.
The company encouraged electricity users to contact the nearest regional offices for assistance with power supply issues, inquiries or other services during the period when the central system is under maintenance.
Customers in Arusha Region can seek assistance through 0738 453778, while those in Ilala District in Dar es Salaam can use 0733 212572.
Residents in Kinondoni District are advised to call 0692 768587, while customers in Temeke District can reach TANESCO through 0694 169798.
For customers in other regions, assistance is available through the following numbers: 0734 173368 for Dodoma, 0767 782934 for Geita, 0697 644924 for Kilimanjaro, 0733 588588 for Mbeya, 0782 139362 for Mwanza, 0738 256237 for Pwani, 0733 735548 for Tabora, and 0716 166126 for Tanga.
The company further noted that customers can also communicate through TANESCO’s official social media platforms and WhatsApp community groups while the main Call Center lines remain offline.
TANESCO assured the public that it is making every effort to restore the central customer service lines quickly and will provide updates once the system is fully operational.
