The Member of Parliament for Uyole Constituency and President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Dr. Tulia Ackson, has delivered on her promise to support local development in Mwakibete Ward by donating 100 bags of cement and ten rolls of stones.
The contribution will help complete the construction of Bombambili Road, a key route connecting Mwakibete Ward to Iyela Ward in Mbeya City.
During her visit, Dr. Tulia assessed the progress of the road and witnessed the challenges faced by residents in the area.
She also recognized the efforts of community members and stakeholders who have actively contributed to the project.
Dr. Tulia pledged to return on March 6, 2026, at 8:00 a.m., together with the Mbeya City MP and CCM Regional Chairman, Patrick Mwalunenge, to identify solutions for remaining challenges and ensure the road’s completion.
The project is expected to improve mobility, facilitate trade, and enhance daily life for residents in the two wards.
