A team of 30 doctors from China will conduct a two-day free medical camp for residents of Ubungo District in Dar es Salaam, offering diagnosis and treatment for various diseases as part of efforts to improve access to healthcare services.

The medical camp will be held on March 28 and 29, 2026 at the EACLC Business Centre, where wananchi will receive free screening, treatment and medical advice from the visiting specialists.

Speaking to journalists in Dar es Salaam on March 24, 2026, Ubungo District Commissioner Albert Msando said the initiative aims to enable residents to receive medical examinations and treatment without any cost.

He said the Chinese doctors will provide services for a range of illnesses including diabetes, heart diseases, cancer, high blood pressure as well as ear, nose and throat conditions.

Mr Msando urged residents of Ubungo and neighbouring areas to take advantage of the opportunity by attending the medical camp in large numbers.

He also encouraged parents and guardians to bring their children for check-ups and treatment during the two-day programme.

Public Relations and Communications Officer Linda Mtui said the camp will not only focus on treatment but will also provide professional health advice to help residents better manage their health conditions.

She noted that special services will also be available for women and children to ensure their specific health needs are addressed.

Ms Mtui added that the EACLC Business Centre is committed to supporting community welfare and not only focusing on business activities.

She said hosting the medical camp reflects the centre’s commitment to contributing to the wellbeing of the surrounding community.

The free medical camp is expected to benefit many residents of Ubungo and nearby areas by providing access to essential health services and encouraging people to regularly check their health status.
