ACT Wazalendo has expressed shock and sorrow following the sudden death of Mr. Seleman Bungara, popularly known as Bwege, a former member of the party.

Mr. Bungara passed away earlier today while receiving his routine dialysis treatment at a hospital.

In a statement, the party extended heartfelt condolences to his wife, Mrs. Mwanawetu Said Zarafi, a member of ACT Wazalendo’s Board of Trustees, and to the family, relatives, friends, and party members affected by the loss.

Mr. Bungara is remembered as a committed opposition politician who consistently championed the rights of citizens and defended multiparty democracy throughout his political career.

ACT Wazalendo confirmed that it will support the family with funeral arrangements and called on members nationwide, especially in Kilwa South constituency, to join the family in mourning.

“The loss of Mr. Bungara is a loss for the entire ACT Wazalendo family,” the statement read.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
