The National Environmental Management Council (NEMC) has participated in the launch of the “Go Green With Imbeju Youth Cohort 2026” initiative organized by the CRDB Bank Foundation.
The event was held at the Jakaya Kikwete Convention Centre in Dodoma.
The launch brought together over 2,000 young people and women from across the country, aiming to empower them to actively engage in the green economy.
NEMC’s involvement supports the implementation of Tanzania’s National Development Vision 2050, which seeks to build an enabling economy for youth.
Its third pillar emphasizes environmental management and climate change, underlining the importance of sustainable development.
Through this program, young participants are encouraged to engage in modern agriculture, environmentally friendly technological innovation, and entrepreneurship projects guided by principles of sustainable resource management.
NEMC’s participation ensures that all projects under the initiative comply with national environmental laws and regulations.
As the institution responsible for environmental protection and management, NEMC will continue to provide technical guidance and mentorship, enabling youth to contribute to economic growth while safeguarding the environment for present and future generations.
