Inspector General of Police (IGP) Camillus Wambura, along with senior officers from the Police Headquarters in Dodoma, recently visited Moshi Police School in Kilimanjaro Region to inspect ongoing construction of housing for trainees and their families, as well as student dormitories.
The project is part of the Sixth Phase Government’s efforts under President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan to improve infrastructure within Tanzania’s security and law enforcement sector.
These upgrades aim to provide modern, comfortable living and learning environments for police officers and trainees.
Completion of the housing and dormitories is expected to boost officer morale, improve living conditions, and enable police to continue offering high-quality services to the public while safeguarding people and their property.
Beyond infrastructure, the school has also upgraded its training programs. It has partnered with local and international universities to implement recommendations from the Criminal Justice Commission, ensuring that officers gain both professional and operational skills.
As part of these initiatives, a total of 111 officers successfully completed Master’s level studies in 2025.
This achievement was supported by the Arusha Institute of Accountancy (IAA) branch at Moshi Police School, which offers a range of courses to enhance officers’ knowledge and capabilities in collaboration with the Tanzania Police Force.
