The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has reminded vehicle owners that the amnesty period for uncustomed vehicles ends on 31st December 2025.
This is the final opportunity for owners to settle applicable duties and taxes without incurring penalties or interest.
TRA is urging all vehicle owners who have not yet complied with the Customs Law to visit their nearest TRA offices and complete the necessary procedures immediately.
Failure to regularize vehicles after the deadline will attract legal action, including payment of outstanding duties, taxes, interest, and penalties as provided by law.
The authority emphasized that this amnesty is a one-time opportunity to comply without additional costs, highlighting its importance for vehicle owners across the country.
The announcement was issued by TRA’s Taxpayers Education and Communication Department under the slogan: “Together We Build Our Nation.”
