Makuyuni Wildlife Park in Monduli District, Arusha Region, continues to shine as one of Tanzania’s northern gems, offering visitors a rare blend of wildlife, natural beauty, and sustainable tourism.
Every corner of the park tells a story of life and hope, reflecting the timeless Swahili proverb: “The wilderness is the book of life; every page tells a story of wisdom.”
October 11, 2025, marked a historic day for the park when Miss World China 2021, Ms. Jiang Sigi, visited alongside winners of the Marvel Travel World Awards from Hong Kong, Tanzania, and Kenya.
The distinguished guests were warmly received with smiles and detailed briefings about the park’s rich wildlife, highlighting Makuyuni’s status as a unique conservation destination in Tanzania.
During their tour, the visitors walked across golden savannahs, witnessing elephants playing joyfully, antelopes sprinting gracefully, baboons leaping with agility reminiscent of the legendary footsteps of Dr. Jane Goodall, and giraffes stretching their necks skyward.
Ms. Jiang Sigi described the experience as “a hidden gem, a treasure the world must see.”
The following day, the park hosted the Fitness Tourism Group from Njiro Msola, Arusha, led by trainer Mr. Benson Godfrey.
The group, visiting for recreation, left profoundly inspired by Makuyuni’s conservation philosophy. One participant noted, “We came as guardians, but we left humbled as tourists.”
Makuyuni Wildlife Park has become a living example of inclusive tourism, welcoming guests from around the world and across Tanzania.
It offers education, leisure, and the thrill of wildlife encounters, while strengthening Tanzania’s position as a leader in sustainable tourism.
Beyond tourism, the park mirrors the country’s natural wealth and heritage. As the sun sets behind the Monduli Hills, the sky over Makuyuni transforms into shades of orange and purple a reminder that even when darkness falls, the park’s light continues to shine in the north, symbolizing hope for conservation and a sustainable future for Tanzania.
