Renowned musician and Tanzania’s poetry king, Selemani Msindi, popularly known as Afande Sele, has called on Tanzanians, particularly young people, to actively participate in the upcoming General Election set for October 29, 2025.
He warned that abstaining from voting amounts to denying oneself a constitutional right.
Speaking in Morogoro, Afande Sele urged the youth to channel their energy into the voting process instead of taking part in protests organized by individuals with motives that do not serve the nation.
“Your vote is your voice. Participating in elections is the most effective way for the youth to shape the country’s future,” he said, underlining the importance of active civic engagement.
Afande Sele’s appeal comes at a time when youth involvement is considered crucial for strengthening Tanzania’s democracy and promoting national development.
He encouraged all young Tanzanians to exercise their constitutional rights and ensure their voices are heard in shaping the nation’s future.
