CCM’s vice-presidential candidate, Dr. Emmanuel Nchimbi, brought fresh energy to the ruling party’s campaign trail in Rorya District as he met with local leaders and thousands of supporters at Ubwere Grounds.
The rally highlighted CCM’s strategy of combining grassroots mobilization with the presence of respected national figures.
Among those who attended was Joseph Butiku, Executive Director of the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Foundation, who briefly interacted with Dr. Nchimbi before the campaign speeches began.
Dr. Nchimbi used the opportunity to drum up support not only for CCM’s presidential candidate, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, but also for parliamentary hopeful Jafari Chege of Rorya and other candidates vying for seats across Mara Region.
With elections set for October 29, 2025, CCM is intensifying its presence in the Lake Zone, a region considered vital for the party’s quest to secure another five-year mandate.
The turnout in Rorya underscored the party’s grassroots appeal and its reliance on both historic and contemporary leadership to rally voter confidence.
