ACT Wazalendo has declared it is unstoppable in its quest to win the Zanzibar presidency in the October 29 general elections, saying no force can prevent its victory.
At the launch of the party’s victory committees held at Majid Hall, Kiembe Samaki, veteran party leader Juma Duni Haji said even if the elections lasted a full month instead of two days, ACT Wazalendo would still win.
“The people of Zanzibar are tired of the current system. The call for change is now heard in every corner of the islands,” he said.
Babu Duni acknowledged the party has faced major challenges, including the death of the late Maalim Seif Sharif Hamad and what he described as the rigging of the 2020 elections, but insisted ACT Wazalendo has never backed down.
“Each day, more citizens trust our genuine commitment to liberate Zanzibar,” he added.
Campaign manager Ismail Jussa Ladhu said the establishment of victory committees is part of the party’s strategy to secure the presidency.
He said party leaders at regional and constituency levels are motivated and actively working, signaling a strong chance of victory on October 29.
Jussa said this election could deliver an even bigger win, noting that many CCM members and leaders, frustrated with the current system, have joined ACT Wazalendo.
He added that the CCM candidate has lost public trust, creating silent anger among voters that will be expressed at the ballot box.
“This candidate is no longer in the hearts of the people. Don’t mistake their silence for acceptance. They will show their decision at the voting booths,” he warned.
Babu Duni concluded by emphasizing that challenges such as hunger and poverty affect all Zanzibaris, regardless of political affiliation.
He urged citizens to vote for Othman Masoud and ACT Wazalendo to usher in a new Zanzibar built on respect, development, and genuine freedom.
