Dar es Salaam— The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has announced the results of its recent oral interviews, marking a significant step forward in one of the largest public sector recruitment exercises in the country’s recent history. The results will be dispatched to candidates on 28 May 2025 via the email addresses provided during the application process.

In February 2025, TRA advertised 1,596 job vacancies, drawing an overwhelming response of 135,027 applications nationwide.

After initial screening, 113,003 candidates met the eligibility criteria and were invited to sit for the written examinations, held on 29 and 30 March 2025.

Following the written exam, 8,325 candidates advanced to the oral interview stage, conducted from 12 to 14 May 2025.

In a significant development, Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, approved TRA’s request to expand the number of positions.

An additional 300 posts were allocated in the 2025/2026 Financial Year Budget, bringing the total number of positions to be filled to 1,896.

Candidates selected for employment will receive official notification via email and are required to report to their respective workstations on 2 June 2025 at 7:00 AM sharp

They must present all necessary documentation as outlined in their appointment emails. The TRA emphasizes that timely reporting is mandatory.

The Authority extends its heartfelt appreciation to all applicants for their interest in serving the nation through TRA.

To the 4,429 candidates who attended the oral interviews but were not selected, TRA assures that their details will be kept in its recruitment database for consideration in future openings.

This recruitment initiative reaffirms the TRA’s commitment to transparent, merit-based hiring and its role in strengthening public service capacity to drive national development.

For further updates, candidates are encouraged to monitor their emails and consult official TRA communication channels.
