NEC elects four new central committee members

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) convened a special meeting on Yesterday, in Dodoma, during which it elected four new members to the party’s Central Committee.

 This important decision reflects CCM’s continued commitment to strengthening its leadership and enhancing its ability to steer national development. 

The newly elected members are Namelock Edward Sokoine, Dr. Juma Abdallah (Mabodi), Salim Faraj Abri (popularly known as Asas), and Hamad Hassan Chande. 

Each of them brings unique expertise and proven dedication to the party's vision and mission. Namelock Sokoine is widely respected for her experience in public service and leadership, while Dr. Mabodi is recognized for his strong administrative background and service to both the party and government.

 Salim Abri, a successful entrepreneur and influential community leader, contributes a wealth of experience in economic development, and Hamad Chande is known for his grassroots mobilization and steadfast commitment to CCM principles. 

Their inclusion in the Central Committee is expected to add new energy and perspectives to the party’s top decision-making organ.

 The NEC emphasized that this election is part of a broader effort to ensure that CCM remains a responsive, inclusive, and forward-looking political force, capable of addressing the needs of Tanzanians and maintaining the country’s stability and growth.
