The Tanzania Wrestling Federation (TAWF) has urged clubs to confirm their participation in the upcoming Union Championship, set to take place from April 21 to 26 in Dar es Salaam.
Speaking to The Respondent Online, TAWF Secretary-General Abraham Nkabuka emphasized that the tournament is part of efforts to celebrate the Union through sports.
"Preparations are in full swing to ensure a well-organized and professional event. We encourage clubs to confirm their participation early, allowing the organizing committee to finalize logistical arrangements smoothly," said Nkabuka.
He also advised wrestlers to maintain rigorous training in their respective clubs to enhance their performance and competitiveness during the championship.
Additionally, Nkabuka highlighted the federation’s ongoing efforts to secure sponsorships to support the successful execution of the tournament.
He called on stakeholders to extend their support, noting that their contributions would play a vital role in ensuring the championship meets its objectives.
