The Minister of Home Affairs, Engineer Hamad Masauni, laid the foundation stone for the construction of a Grade B Police Station in Chemba District, Dodoma, on October 3, 2024.

The new station is expected to improve access to police services for the local community upon its completion.

During the event, Minister Masauni underscored the government's commitment to bringing the police force closer to citizens through its Community Policing Policy.

He highlighted the placement of one-star-ranked officers in every ward across the country as part of this effort to ensure public safety and enhance service delivery.

"The sixth-phase government is making significant improvements to the working environment for police officers. This includes constructing modern police stations, providing essential tools, and ensuring better welfare for officers," said Masauni.

He further called on the police force to match the government's investment by delivering high-quality services, upholding professionalism, and maintaining ethical standards.

The efforts, he noted, reflect President Samia Suluhu Hassan's determination to address citizens' concerns and improve security.

The construction project, which is nearing completion, has so far cost TZS 350 million.

In addition to the foundation-laying ceremony, Minister Masauni held a public meeting in Pahi Ward, Kondoa District, where he spearheaded a fundraising campaign for the construction of a local police station.

The drive successfully raised TZS 18.4 million, and the construction is scheduled to begin in November 2024.

As part of his working tour of Dodoma Region, Minister Masauni also visited Mnenia Secondary School in Kondoa District, showing support for the community’s efforts in its construction.

He further inspected and laid the foundation stone for the building of teachers’ houses at Bolisa Secondary School in Kondoa Municipality.
