Tanzania’s indicative gold price has reached TZS 341,068.27 per gram in the mineral market, according to the latest price guide issued by the Mining Commission on September 10, 2026.
The guide places the international gold price at USD 4,444.77 per troy ounce, equivalent to TZS 378,964.75 per gram.
At buying centres, gold is priced at TZS 333,488.98 per gram, providing a reference for miners and mineral traders when negotiating transactions.
The indicative prices are intended to provide market benchmarks for mineral transactions and help miners and traders assess the value of their minerals.
For silver, the international market price stands at USD 67.52 per troy ounce, equivalent to TZS 5,756.81 per gram.
The mineral market price is TZS 5,181.13 per gram, while the buying centre price is TZS 5,065.99 per gram.
Copper is quoted at USD 6.79 per pound, translating to TZS 39.70 per gram at the international market level. The mineral market price is TZS 35.73 per gram, while the buying centre price stands at TZS 34.93 per gram.
The Mining Commission publishes indicative mineral prices as a reference for mineral transactions in Tanzania, with the actual value depending on factors including mineral quality and purity.
